The Art Of Letting Go

Time, is what is needed.

Growth that is unimpeded.

Minutes, hours,  and days that slowly drip away.

Images of moments that will eventually decay.

Leaving me in a place where I will no longer need them in order to continue my day.

The art of letting go,

Is necessary in order to grow.

But just so you know,

It’s nearly an impossible task.

Though I’ll likely hide behind my mask.

I cannot do more than that for now,

Because memories are what allow

My mind to explore the words that I consume and devour.

Each one blooming like an individual wild flower.

The art of letting go,

Is necessary in order to grow.

With all of my might,

I will continue to fight.

Because memories are what allow

My mind to explore the words that I consume and devour.

Each one blooming like an individual wild flower.

Writing has a way of allowing your inner thoughts to come forth that which normally don’t get spoken aloud.
I am glad you find comfort in my poem and allow your inner poet to let loose! Good luck in over coming your loss.
But you know what they say – where a door closes another shall open!
