The Gift Of Choice

Choice…
A gift adorned to mortals,
Along with love and hope.
Turned into an unidentifiable scope.
The only option left,
Seems to have created the opposite affect.
Which leads us all onto the road of hate and despair.
An unexpected path, a road that seems quite unfair.
Choice it seems, is what defines us all.
Choose you must before your only option left is thrall.
An advantage though may be given,
It lies within the walls of those who are forgiven.
Should the option not conclude this way,
The emotions you will portray,
Will lead you on a downward spiral.
An endless staircase of corruption, that’s viral.
Choice it seems, is what ultimately binds us all.
What path will you choose to take? Which way will you fall?

haha, I suppose for someone lacking faith this applies. I don’t necessarily mean the “religious” kind though. From my stand point we choose what path to make – and the choices along the way. What we tend to overlook is that karma plays a role in it all and whether or not we want to accept the responsibility of it all it what makes the difference. Easier said than done though for sure!
